 REPORT ON IPL MATCH (30 April 2024) CHENNAI SUPER KINGS lifted their fifth IPL title as they defeated former champions, Gujarat Titans , in what turned out to be an epic finale at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The final was shifted to the reserve day thanks to the unrelenting rain in the city of Gujarat. However, when things did get underway, it rained sixes throughout the night. GT batted first and on the back of a magnificent 96 (47) from Sai Sudarshan, the Hardik Pandya-led unit smashed 214/4 in 20 overs. However, before the 2nd innings could get underway, the heavens opened up again to bring DLS into play. The revised target for CSK was 171 in 15 overs, which the MS Dhoni-led unit got off the final delivery of their innings, thanks to an amazing late assault from Ravindra Jadeja (15* off 6).
